Amitabh Bachchan, a name who requires no introduction. An event that needs no inauguration. And a festival that people celebrate each day, every day. Find me anyone who isn’t aware of this magnanimous personality. In India, Amitabh is such an idealistic man that even when you ask a small kid then he will take no time in recognizing him. He is loved, he is idolized, he is worshipped, and glorified in every corner of this nation.

Amitabh Bachchan- A Light That Never Dies

The light that never dies, this is what the name “Amitabh” means. Amitabh Bachchan was born into Awadhi Hindu Kayasth father Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Sikh mother Teji Bachchan. Teji Bachchan was a social activist whereas, his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a poet, fluently persuasive in Awadhi, Urdu, and Hindi. He was a great poet who penned down many poems that are recited to date. Amitabh Bachchan wasn’t his original name.

Amitabh was born on 11th October 1942 in Sangam Nagri “Allahabad”. His father named him Inquilab which was inspired by the revolutionary phrase “Inquilab Zindabaad”. But later, his father chose to drop this name and named him Amitabh meaning “A light that never dies”. Bachchan completed his study at Sherwood school in Nainital and then from Kirori mal college of Delhi University.

Rise of the Angry young man to Shahenshah of Bollywood

No actor emerges without the urge of adroitness and craft. Therefore, Amitabh also had the willingness of art since his early days. He idolizes the luminary actor Dilip Kumar. The actor says he often copied his style and tried to adapt his acting in his performance. Big B was totally smitten by the fact that Dilip Kumar, without hailing from Awadhi ascent spoke the language eloquently in the movie Ganga Jumna. Well, luck favored and Amitabh made his debut in the movie Saat Hindustani in the year 1969. However, prior to Saat Hindustani, he imparted his voice in the national-award-winning movie Bhuvan Shome. Meanwhile, he also married his co-star Jaya Bhaduri and built his utopia with her. From Angry young man in Zanjeer in the 70s to the elderly lawyer in Pink in the 20s, the legend has endowed us with boundless performances.

During the shoot of Coolie, Amitabh was unintentionally hit by Puneet Isaar. He got injured so badly that the entire nation drowned in the prayers for the safety of his life.  “Jao pehle us aadmi ka sign lekar aao jisne mera baap se sign liya tha, pehle us aadmi ka sign lekar aao, jisne meri maa ko gaali deke naukri se nikal diya tha, jao pehle us aadmi ka sign lekar aao, jisne mere hath pe ye likh diya tha, uske baad..uske baad mere bhai tum jis kagaz pe kahoge main uspe sign kar dunga.”

“Don ka Intazar to 11 mulkon ki police kar rahi hai par Don ko pakdna mushkil hi nahin namumkin hai”.

I don’t know about the rishta but this great actor is undoubtedly the baap of all the actors in the aspects of acting.

Kabhi Kabhie

“Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayal aata hai, ki zindagi teri zulfon ki narm chhaon mein guzarne paati to shadab ho bhi sakti thi” 

The angry young man is super romantic man too. This dialogue is a straight proof of it.

“Aaj mere paas bangla hai, gaadi hai, bank balance hai, tumhare paas kya hai”?

Agneepath

“Pura naam, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, baap ka naam, Dinanath Chauhan, maa ka naam, Suhasini Chauhan, gaon Mandwa, umar chhattis saal.”.

The film was a flop, but this popular dialogue is still rememeber by all.
