An Appreciation note to the aptly versatile star – Ayushmann Khurana

Ayushmann Khurana, an actor par excellence who has probably given a new face to Indian cinema.

Who would have thought that a movie like Vicky Donor or Shubh Mangal Savdhan will break all the social norms and win people’s hearts? Feasibly, it wasn’t possible until and unless the movie has an ensemble cast like Ayushmann. Sufi, poetic, thoughtful, intelligent; all in all a “wonder” in himself, yes that’s how Mr. Khurana should be defined. Perhaps, the only actor who has all types of movies in his kit.

Ayushmann Khurana started his career as a video jockey for a channel. Prior to this, he had also won a show on the same channel. Hence, starting his career with a show to turning into a stupendous VJ and then becoming host to various programs to currently competing with the Bollywood A-list actors, Ayushmann Khurana is unpretentiously a broad spectrum. With his sterling comic timing and astounding expressions, Ayushmann Khurana emerges as the total winner for the audiences as well as for critics.

Not just splendid in taboo-breaking and challenging social standards and delighting his fans with sitcoms; Ayushmann is also subtle with intense roles. In Article 15, he flawlessly played the character of a serious police officer, who is focused on his duty. On the other hand, he is fabulous at making his fans awe with his shady portrayal in Andhadhunn.

My personal recognition would definitely include his off-beat character from the most under-rated movie “Meri Pyari Bindu”, just fell in love with the character of writer Abhimanyu. From “Dum Laga Ke haisha” to Bareily ki Barfi, Bala, Dreamgirl, and Shubh Mangal Jyada Savdhan this first-class actor has all our rave.

Let’s peer into some fine dialogues from his movies

Dream Girl

“Duniya mein har koi galat hai … aur sahi woh hai joh kam galat hai”– Now, the dialogue strikes at our honesty, doesn’t it? The actual applause should be given to the writer but the natural way Ayushamann delivered this dialogue is simply heartfelt.

Bareily Ki Barfi

“Aasaan nahi hai tumse pyar karna … magar tumse pyar na karna usse bhi zyada mushkil hai”– Romantic, emotional, and devout. This particular line has all my awww..!

Meri Pyari Bindu

Kuch gaane aapki zindagi se yun hi judh jaate hai … unki dhun mein lipte hote hai chote badhe kisse … kayi saari yaadein“- Relatable? of course. This is one of the most beautiful films by Ayushmann so, I have to add another beautiful dialogue by him.

“Pyar karna bahot log sikhate hain… par afsoos us pyar ko bhulate kaise hain … yeh saala koi nahi sikhata” admit or not, this line hits real hard and in Khurana’s soulful voice, it touches the core of our emotions.

Bala

“Aap mote, kaale, naate, ganje, chahe jaise bhi dikhte ho … agar aap apne aapse pyar karenge toh duniya bhi aapse pyar karegi”– Character of Bala is not everyone’s goal of self-love. And it is as amusingly as Ayushmann’s presence. For this dialogue and for this movie we can’t imagine any other actor at all.

Hawaizaada

Haathon ki lakeeron ko itni ahmiyat nahi diya karte … naseeb toh unke bhi hote hai jinke haath nahi hote hai”– If you are disheartened with your fate, then these words will enduringly give you hope, and in the manner this ingenious actor performed this scene gives chills.

We often hear the phrase, “content is king” but to represent those content-driven stories also require equally weighted actor. And, Ayushmann Khurana is surely the king who has balanced all the aspects of entertainment. Ayushmann is not just a magnificent artist but is also a loving husband and a doting father to two little Khurannas. On-screen or off-screen he never fails to impress us with his grounded behavior.

Wishing this awe-inspiring actor, singer, poet or naturally all-rounder “A Happy Birthday”
