His sudden demise caused havoc across the nation and left his fans in melancholy for years. The legendary actor was only 39 years old when he was found dead in his apartment in October 1964. Following his death, many rumors, predictions, blind items were popped out, trying to configure the mysterious death. It is believed that he was in tumultuous marriage and broke all the ties with his wife. After separation, he used to consume alcohol and sleeping pills. The enigma related to his death remained unresolved and nobody ever found whether it was suicide or accidental overdose.
It is hard to believe that a star of his generation who set a benchmark with the films like Pyaasa, Saheb Biwi Aur Gulam, Kagaz Ke Phool had a tragic life with a sad ending.
Parveen Babi

Blessed with an endearing persona and had looks which was admired across generations, Parveen Babi charmed almost everyone during the 70s and 80s. Not only that, she was the first Bollywood diva to grace the cover of Time Magazine in 1976. Some speculations were reported that Parveen was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia.
In January 2005, she was found dead in her home and her body was discovered after three days of her death. The Postmortem report disclosed that the actor had only alcohol in her stomach and there was no food. Sridevi

Her husband, Boney Kapoor, was the first person who saw the actress unconscious in her bathtub. Further, a post-mortem revealed that the death was caused due to ‘’accidental drowning’’, adding more to the controversy. Initially, it was reported that Sridevi’s demise was due to cardiac arrest at her nephew’s wedding. Later, the news was busted as the post-mortem reports had another say.

Divya Bharti
With the perky presence, unaltered innocence, and beautiful looks, Divya Bharti took no time in weaving her magic upon millions of people. She became the promising face of the 90s in just a short span of time. She was doing remarkably well in her career and was on the verge of becoming the next big thing of Bollywood. But, destiny had some other plans for her. In 1993, Bollywood had lost one more gem to shocking death as the actress fell from the fifth floor of her Versova apartment in Mumbai. She was only 19 when her death took place in a leery turn of events. She was married to famous producer Sajid Nadiadwala which came into the light after her death.

Silk Smitha
Despite being moving in full-swing in her fast-paced career, she decided to take her own life due to her personal conflicts. The most erotic actress the country had ever witnessed, Silk Smita’s life was always a mystery. She was one of the few actors who rose to fame by some controversies. And her life’s biggest contention was doing bold scenes in the movies at the time when it was not considered as ethical. Manmohan Desai
Manmohan Desai, a name that had a cult fan following because of his notable run in the Indian film fraternity. He was the one who helped Amitabh Bachchan to climb the success ladder. The master of the movies like Amar Akbar and Anthony, Dharam Veer, and Coolie met his tragic demise on March 1, 1994. He fell from the balcony of his flat. No one knows if this was an accident or suicide. Some also claimed that he couldn’t bear the outcomes of his declining career, due to which, he decided to take his own life.
Jiah Khan
On June 3, 2013, the 23-year-old young starlet committed suicide, causing outrage in media and among common people. Jia Khan was dating Suraj Pancholi for around nine months before she demise. Her mother said in an interrogation that the actress left a six-page suicide note expressing how she was being tortured mentally and also forced to do an abortion. Sooraj Pancholi was booked on the charge of abatement to suicide. Till today, people are not happy with the conduct of the investigation CBI had in this case and are demanding a thorough one.
It was said that a troubled relationship and declination in career were said to have placed a huge role in her sad death.
