And before we begin, these are all equal options. There is no ranking among them. These are all the best and on point casting in films and shows according to us.

1 – Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump)

You wanna discuss iconic characters then Forrest Gump has to be there. In his unusual style of talking, remarkable body language, Tom Hanks nails the role in every way. Every time you watch the film, he sinks you in his deep, innocent eyes.

2 – Lucifer (Tom Ellis as Lucifer)

Lucifer’s character reflects a diverse allure, cuteness. The spontaneous expressions, effortless grin are his trademark. From the charm to the arrogance that Lucifer’s character contemplates is simply WOW. Tom Ellis performs the job like he is THE DEVIL. No matter how many other movies or shows might he appears on in the future, this man will always be LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR.

Spotlight: Not to forget his soothing voice. Just in case you did not know, Tom Ellis is a fabulous singer.

3 – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man)

We could give 3000 reasons why we can’t ever replace RDJ.

We all know, it is one of those characters where the actor owns it. RDJ is the IRON MAN for almost half of the world. It would be complete mayhem if anybody else ever took the role of the Iron Man instead of Robert Downey Jr.

4 – Entire Cast of Dark

After 2017, if anyone would talk about the most brilliant casting the history, Dark will be on their top mentions. Though the series has so much to offer the casting team deserves extra credit for their stupendous work here. Dark includes many generations of each character. Every time you look at a scene, you would recognize them without even having the other characters to call their names.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (Hrithik Roshan)

LOL!! Just kidding.

5 – Rockstar (Ranbeer Kapoor as Jordan)

Where there are emotions, damage comes along. Rockstar drills this fact in us.

From chuckling, carefree JJ to broken, damaged, angry, uncontrollable Jordan, Ranbeer Kapoor grows in the character every second and completely takes us with him in the journey. With all the pain he conveys through his screams and ownership of hollowness, hopelessness he possesses we can do nothing but accept he is JORDAN.

6- John Wick (Keanu Reeves as John Wick)

Keanu Reeves is John Wick PERIOD.

From the way he walks to the way he talks, Keanu Reeves absolutely nailed the character. His propensity for locution and the visual stage brought a specific charm to the character of John Wick. His composed voice, combat style in his gray lightweight wool three-piece suit compels us to whistle.

7 – The Witcher (Henry Cavill as Geralt Of Rivia)

Before the release of The Witcher in 2019, the fandom had havoc. There were questions whether Henry Cavill would be able to justify the role of Witcher or not. Once it came to the screens, people were startled with the spectacular performance. Cavill seized the role for himself forever.

8 – Daredevil (Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock)

Daredevil is hands down one of the best superhero series ever. We have never seen something this insanely good. Not only Charlie Cox was the most accurate physical embodiment of Daredevil but also his raw energy blend with vocalization gave the character huge popularity.

Highlight: Just in case you missed the show, watch it today on Netflix. The hand-to-hand combats are the game changers to die for in Marvel’s Daredevil.

9 – BBC Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock)

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle once said it would be a shame if he is the only person who ever works on the character of Sherlock Holmes. However, there have been hella numbers of Sherlock films. In recent times, Benedict Cumberbatch was sure one of the best Sherlocks there could be. Only he is the reason people are SHERLOCKED. Cumberbatch’s raw Englishman stance is just a cherry on the top.

10 – Call Me By Your Name (Timothée Chalamet as Elio)

Call Me By Your Name is all about love and loss. Not that this film is just a stupendous adaption of the book (with the same name) but also it offers several visually stunning moments to remember for a long time. The film is a romantic drama that evolves between 17-year-old Elio and 24-year-old Oliver. We have seen Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet in their previous work. However, for us, Timothée Chalamet will always be our beautiful Elio.

11 – The Dark Knight (Heath Ledger as Joker)

Here, we don’t have so much area to spill the words. Everyone knows there shall be just one JOKER for centuries ahead. Heath Ledger may not be among us but he owns the character. His epic laughter, spooky makeup, blood-curdling dialogue delivery – everything is beyond PERFECT.

12 – Breaking Bad (Arron Paul as Jesse Pinkman)

When he smiles, the day becomes brighter. When he cries, our hearts literally bleed out. We don’t think any other actor could make us fall apart as Arron Paul did with “I loved her more than anything Mr. White”. His entire performance is pitch-perfect.

13 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Entire Cast)

The quirky team of Raymond Holt from the Nine-Nine precinct is beyond amazing. Jake’s tenderness, Rosa’s toughness, Amy’s OCD, Charles’s bravery, Terry’s defense, Gina’s sarcasm, and Raymond’s all-time poker face is so on point. The show is peculiar and we cannot think of a single cast replacement. It would absolute anarchy if someone even gives it a thought.

14 – The Social Network (Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg)

How could we find a character so soft and so intimidating at once? Jesse Eisenberg will forever be MARK ZUCKERBURG for us. Insolent from the outside and soft from the inside, you float in the wind he carries in the film. Eisenberg embraces the brain of Zuckerberg and the attitude of a billionaire on the screen so effortlessly that we can not think of anybody else in the role.

15 – The Punisher (Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle)

To pull off an otherwise dark character from the Marvel Comics is not a piece of cake. It takes every ounce of dedication to bring life to the character. Jon Bernthal’s nuanced portrayal of The Punisher was exactly what the character needed. The rearing rage justifying the expression of a brutal brand of justice, Bernthal is perhaps the most admirable anti-hero.

16 – Titanic (Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet as Jack & Rose)

Leo was enchanting and Kate was breathtakingly beautiful in the film. Every time they come together on the screen, it was on fire. Their chemistry came out so fresh and unmatched that the on-screen couple is yet a sensation for the evergreen romantic Titanic pose.

17 – Whiplash (J. K. Simmons as Terence Fletcher)

Terence Fletcher is perhaps the most hated and insidious instructor. Maybe that’s the reason we could steal hear Not quite my tempo just when we say Whiplash. He set the audience on the edge of their seats. Especially in the last few moments. Simmons is an extraordinary performer and his job in Whiplash is a sign of on Point casting.

18 – Pulp Fiction (Entire Cast)

Quentin Tarantino is the king of most vivid character build-ups. When he comes up with a character, the actor gets a chance to frame an undying reputation. This is something that happened with the neo-noir black comedy PULP FICTION. From Jules and Vincent to Mia & Marsellus Wallace and Butch, once you watch the film, you can’t think of another face playing these iconic roles.

19 – Harry Potter (Entire Cast)

This list would be incomplete without the mention of Harry Potter. Can you imagine anyone else playing Harry Potter or Ron or Hermione or Cedric or Snape or Professor McGonagall? We wouldn’t even trade the props of the film replacing the cast is afar from possibility.

20 – The Wolverine (Hugh Jackman as The Wolverine)

Furious✔️ Charming✔️ Witty✔️ Hugh Jackman has everything that top off the character of Wolverine.

There should not be a question of why this is one hell of an important mention in the On Point Casting list. Hugh Jackman is literally one man who we would ever accept as The Wolverine.

21 – Pirates of Caribbean (Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow)

Endlessly citable, every sentence Captain Jack Sparrow says is both a replicable dialogue and meme material. We don’t know anybody who could be more hilarious and talk as haughtily like Johnny Depp. He is genuinely amusing and excels in that carefree Pirate satire & attire.

22 -Troy (Brad Pitt as Achilles)

Brad Pitt’s dialogue Is there no one else from Troy still gives goosebumps. Thus, it would be an injustice with the casting team we don’t include Brad Pitt as Achilles in our on point casting list. Brad’s badass & super charming appearance and the way he mirrors all the good and bad altogether, gives a diverse vividness to Achilles’s character.

23 – Drive (Ryan Gosling as Driver)

Gosling is remarkably stunning as the Hollywood stuntman lured by life after long isolation. He is so unbelievably convincing that even after using the least amount of words, he wins all the hearts. It is almost impossible to not appreciate the guy. Not only he stands out in his sweetest appearance but also nails the role to make it so compelling that you so much wish to meet a guy like him.

24 – Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson)

We believe this is one of the most underrated castings. If any of you have followed Ryan Reynolds’s public appearances, you would know that guy word for word is Deadpool. On screens, he surpasses the amount of sarcasm, hilarious expressions to leave us laughing our guts out. His ability to reciprocate to a situation, deliver the witty dialogues is irresistible.

25 – Chak De India (Shahrukh Khan as Kabir Khan)

Chak De India is an emotion, calling it just a film would be an insult and so would be to exclude the epic character of Kabir Khan from our on-point casting list. Shahrukh marks excellence in every inch of his appearance as the former hockey star. The role was almost set to be played by Salman Khan. However, we can’t be more thankful for the fate that SRK was the final pick.

26 – Permanent Roommates (Sumeet Vyas as Mikesh)

Without a hitch, Permanent Roommate was the fresh view to our cinema junky eyes after a long time. The show was way ahead of its time. Watching Sumeet Vyas as quirky, cute, straight forward Mikesh Chaudhary is a visual treat. The actor possessed the most persuasive replica of every good-hearted Indian guy who could barely analyze the actions & words of his lover. He totally makes the show in many ways.
